Went into a pet store in a town about an hour from my home and spotted these corys. As I've been doing a little research on cory's lately, I figured I'd ask if anyone in the store could tell me what type they were. Asked one of the girls working (mid-30's), and she looks at me, and says "Oh my dear, those are easily identified as assorted corydoras." I couldn't help but laugh. I already knew there were a bunch of different types. I asked if I could speak to someone who knew about fish, and her response "It's all cat and dog people working today."
Talk about useless.
But the store was so clean, and the fish looked incredibly healthy, and the prices were good too, so if the corys are of any use to me, I'll go back and pick some up. Anyway. The corys were in a few tanks, they had a grey body with a blue-green spot behind their gills under their top fins... They were fairly small, about the same size as my male peppered cory.
Could someone ID Them for me? Here are some pictures I took using my cellphone camera, the only camera I had on me at the time, I apologize for the quality issues...
