It looks a strange shape. I hope they aren't breeding Balloon versions of these. Maybe it's just fat.

That looks like a fat rosy barb. I almost thought it was a very pregnant variatus at first glance. Perhaps a couple more pictures from different angles if possible?

Was the fish fat like that when you bought it, or has its belly grown over time since you brought it home?
