I agree with Jim, looks to be female. A better shot will get you a definite sexing, but appears female.

I'm no expert with rams, but my first instinct was female. The dorsal fin seemed too short at the front (for what I could see) to be male and the colouring wasn't as striking ad on males that I've seen.

It looks like a female to me too. The pinkish colouring in the belly gives it away

thanks, now im on the look out for a male as the 1 i've got is bout 1/4 of the size of thr female.

I also agree the pinkish belly and also i believe that males have a more pointed dorsal fin.

Also about size of the male although 1/4 sounds like too much of a difference but i think that it good that the female be larger due to the aggressive nature of the male. But please some one confirm or correct me!! as i dont have much experience with them, only from what i've read
