i have a community tank which has a red tail shark (gonna trade it brack to my lfs), 2 platties, a bronze cory and a painted skirt tetra. i'm gonna get guppies and more corys, so can i get rams and put them in my community tank? BTW how big do they get? i think the blue rams r pretty cool and i would like some cichilds, since rams r not agressive.

i got a ram in my tank n he's great......he's only very small n he hasnt grown at all.....he about 1.5 inches long n happily swims with the other fish.....

when i got him he was with platies, mollies, guppies, gouramis, tetra's, fighters.......but i had a bad nitrite problem n he is 1 of the few that survived.....

i highly recomend rams for a community tank.....and apparently if u feed them fish colour food theyre blue stripes n spots go really bright

my 1 isnt territorial in the slightest.....i paid about 3 brittish pounds for mine n its 1 of the best purchases ive made

he always comes upto the front of the tank when im near it and he likes to take food from my hand too....he's always swimmin around

he did get white spot quite easy but it didnt do him no harm

ive heard that if u are after a really healthy 1 look for a bright red stripe thru the eye.......healthy rams eyes have a brighter red in them

I've had rams for ages and no problems with them being in a community its just u must keep the water so clean.
