Can Plants Still Grow In Regular Aquarium Gravel?

Yes they can and will grow fine, I use regular gravel in my Roma200 and my plants grow wildly

i grow mine in sand grow fine. they get all they need from the water

should I take the plants out of the black bucket they come in?

If you mean the pot? yes and also remove the rockwool then plant the plants in the substrate
