At the moment I have I have a 30" x 12 "x 12" 71lts but I am going be getting a tank aprox 40" x 15" x 18" and at the moment I have -

x2 Rams
x 4 cherry barbs
x5 glow lights
x2 neons
x1 red tail shark

I would like to get some Angel fish and Silver Dollars but was wandering if they will be ok with my other fish?

If not has anyone any suggestions please, what I can get I'm looking to get some fish that will get approx 6" approx

Silver dollars get big.

you need more neons too.. they are shoaling/schooling fish. get like at least 10 more neons.

i personally would never get an angle fish, they are way to agresive, i dont ever want to risk getting one and harming my other fish.

get a gourami.. they get about 5 inches, they have many different colors, dwarfs, regulars, they are an active fish.

angel fish like all cichlids haave a reputation for agression... but i dont think they are ... dwarf gouramis imo are more agressive..

SEAN W ... you have a common plec in a 10 gallon?

I would get a pearl gourami.

I would get more barbs, maybe arouond 2-3 more, to keep fin-nipping low, As for anglefish, unless they are a pair, then no.
Also more neons, minimum 6, but for that size tank around 15 would look really cool!

I have read that angelfish will eat neon tetras. If you want a gourami, don't get a gold because they can become aggtessive and bossy.
