Can i use Double Glazing?

Hi all

I Can get my hands on a double glazed window which i was thinking of making a tank out of.

It would be a Ply and Glass tank but i'm not sure if the glass is thick enough.
The glass pannel is about 50CM * 40CM double glazed with a metal strip around it.

What thickness should this be to work?

I have no idea how that panel will react to pressure. I expect the glass is quite thin, the gap would be sealed so the inward bowing of the inner glass would compress the gas between the panels, but I doubt it would be enough to let the outer glass take much/any of the strain.

For tanks that kind of size, I'd recommend 6mm glass. I doubt that helps though.
