My 125 litre aquarium iwhich i think is fully stocked, I have,
6 black phantom tetras,
10 harlequin rasbora,
10 green neon tetras,
8 growlight tetras.
3 otocinclus,
I was hoping I could add one small gourami either a red dwarf, or a blue dwarf gourami.

Adding a dwarf gourami "could" lead to a little chance of aggression toward your colorful tetras.

Your setup seem well balanced, adding a center piece fish that has little bullying tendency can change many things, but it really depends on the gourami temperament.

Also I don't understand most sites that are giving information that they grow about 2.5 inch, I can tell that they grow bigger than that.

Maybe if you don't want to disturb too much your current pecking order, you could add more oto's to strengthen your cleaning power.

There's also a risk of disease. Most dwarf gouramis bred in farms in the far east are infected with dwarf gourami iridovirus, an incurable disease which usually kills the fish a few months after purchase. If you could source them bred elsewhere, there is less likelihood of disease.

Thanks for that I won't bother. I may add another two mottos. I bought 3 on Friday, it's all the aquarium shop had.

Even if you got a healthy one (not likely), lalius gouramis need warmer water than your other fish. It's not worth changing things for everyone for one fish.
