I would say yes.

People will come and say you need an 18" tall tank. It depends on the type of angel really though. If you get altums you will need an 18" tall tank, otherwise you don't in my opinion.

ok thanks

now will they get on with the gurami
the endlers
the pygmy cories

and can i have some neon

My angel kills guppies like they are live food. So I don't know about endlers (he's fine with cardinals). It bullies anything new to the tank for about 24 hours so I keep it down to armoured fish (bn pleco), loaches (kuhli, i also keep corys), and short finned fast swimmers like barbs and tetras.

Oh, and there are only really 3 types of angels. Altum are big and expensive, leopoldi are small, aggressive and uncommon, and scalare are common and in the middle when it comes to size. If you see an angel fish in the LFS the chances are it's a scalare.

p.scalare will get to about 6" in length max, but top to bottom it can get longer than that depending on the fins.

dont matter ive gone of it now as i want shrimp #41#### thats a pitty

You know the right answer and yet you recommend against it? Eighteen inches in height minimum is the recommended height for all types of freshwater angelfish.

Critical statement overlooked.
in my opinion.

And 18" tall for altums yeah, but for scalares? I don't think it's necessary.

Just like I disagree with the 30 gallon minumum tank size for tiger barbs.

18" is nowhere near tall enough for altums, sorry...

"Altum angelfish is as earlier mentioned considerable more sensitive then the regular angelfish and needs a care similar to that of discus fish. They need due to their height a high aquarium tank and should never be kept in aquariums shallower then 75cm/ 30"......."

So you already knew your opinion was controversial before you offered your advice. Just strikes me as funny that you knowingly wanted to drag someone else's opinion down if they dared have a different answer than you.

I have heard 18 inches minimum from numerousl reliable sources (both internet and face to face) over the past 17 years of fishkeeping. IMO I trust my resources and experience over your opinion.

To the OP, your tank is too small for angels unfortunately.

ive decided against any way thanks tho
