The second seems to be a double tail, or at least carrying a DT gene. The first is a combtail :)

Crowns have at least two points instead of one.

:D very pretty bettas, i think the first one is a CT..not sure about the second one, it's etiher a DT or has a really bad split down its tail :D :p

Thanks :D

So there is a difference between crowntail and combtail? and doubletail and twintail?
I've only heard crown and twin.. thats why I ask. Both of these came from walmart :D

>>>never mind.... I missed the crown explanation :D

Well the top one is DEFITNATLY a Combtail...

The other one looks like a SplitTail why isnt it a Doubletail Because the split looks bigger in the bottom that in the top...

heres another one of Bombur... (doubletail)
There is a divider there..

hard to tell... kinda looks like its tail was just split in half..

dont know if its a DT tho..

cool guys nonetheless :D

Well its a Veiltail. But its got a Split-Tail...I think u should put some Aquarium Salt ans Melafix or BettaMax

OK.. I've got doubletail, splittail and one tails just messed up. I dont know what to call it

I don't think it's split in a bad "oh no, get the meds!" way :dunno: I think it's just the way he is, it seems to be split right up the center perfectly. My diagnosis would be a veiltail carrying DT genes. I got a DT female at Walmart several months ago, her split is far from perfect but she's a DT just the same. :) It's almost the same as yours, smaller on the top and larger on the bottom.

for some reason seeing a betta wiht two tails like that really worries me :S maybe i'm just not use to seeing them and i just think they're ill or sick or something's wrong :S

Yeah.. it really doesn't look to me like its frayed or damaged in any way. I would think that if it was a reg veiltail that tail got split for poor health or whatever the cause, it would show some sort of damage... like being frayed on the edges of the split. I wasn't sure tho. The more I look at him tho, the more I think its supposed to look like that.
