Yeah.. it really doesn't look to me like its frayed or damaged in any way. I would think that if it was a reg veiltail that tail got split for poor health or whatever the cause, it would show some sort of damage... like being frayed on the edges of the split. I wasn't sure tho. My diagnosis would be a veiltail carrying DT genes. I got a DT female at Walmart several months ago, her split is far from perfect but she's a DT just the same. It's almost the same as yours, smaller on the top and larger on the bottom.
