In my 50g I have 2 Angels, 2 Clown Loaches, 6 Leopard Danio, 7 Serpae Tetra and 3 Silvertip Tetra.

Its got the correct filtration for the size and is a medium planted tank.

Can I fit anymore fish in?

depends on filtration, but i'd say you might fit a couple more tetras, or maybe not. definitely get at least another clownie, thye like to be in groups. and you might be able to get some cories.

I forgot the others... 2 Dwarf Gourami & a Kissing Gourami

in that case, bottom dwellers only. youre fully stocked at the middle and top levels in my opinion.

Could I add 2 A.D.F. What other bottom dwellers are there out there? I have bog wood so I could have a cat fish.....

another clown loach, maybe the adfs, there are other loaches, cory cats (corydoras), a smaller 4 inch plec (a clown plec would like that bogwood, and they stay around 4 inch), you MIGHT get by with a RTBS but i'm not sure. others have one with their clown loaches without problems though.

I should think if you have excellent filtration and do frequent water changes you could add 2 more clown loaches and a Red Tailed Shark. I have a number of fish in a 60 Gallon Hex that has excellent filtration and I do frequent water changes and mine are very happy and healthy.

i would think you could get quite a few more bottom dewllers, as clown loaches grow very slowly and in my experience grow according to tank size, i had two in a twenty gallon for 7 years and they reached 4-5 inches in 3 years and didn't grow for the other four and then i moved them to a bigger tank and in 3 mounths they had grown two more inches and then they stopped again.

So it would be ok to add 2 more clowns, I was a little concerned as I thought they could grow quite large!? Would it be ok to add another 4 Silvertip Tetra so they can school?

Do an A.D.F need a companion or can they live by them self’s?

Whats the life span of the fish in my tank as I plan to move out and get my own house with in the next 4 - 5 years and have a big custom build tank.

I would suggest that 4 clown loaches will definately outgrow a 50gal. IN the short term they will prolly be ok, but I imagine after a while they will be far too big. Just my opinion though.

Hello Sye :)

I don't think that African Dwarf Frogs are a very good choice to add to your aquarium.

First, they are rather small creatures with tiny little arms and legs. I'd be concerned that some of your fish could harm them.

Second, because of their size, they do not do as will in a deep tank as a shallow one. Remember, they gulp air from the surface but spend much of their time on the bottom.

These cute little guys don't need much room and 2 can live quite comfortably in a one gallon container. Why take unnecessary chances with their lives and well being by putting them in your big tank?
