i currently have a marine tank im about to change to freshwater and was woundering if i can use the live rock in the freshwater tank.

No you cannot use live rock in a fresh water tank unless you're interested in keeping rift cichlids, you would have to soak the rocks over and over to get rid of any salt and dead bacteria.

I would recommend selling your live rock if it is fully cured and not dead you could get about £5/kilo
