at the moment i have 2 neon tetras, 3 ghost shrimp, and a pl*co in a 10 gallon tank.

I plan to get rid of the pl*co and get an oto.

Can i add 1 or 2 rams?

german blue rams.

ive been told there very slowly and not very active, can i pull it off?

From what I've heard, Rams are extremely hard to keep and are not for beginners. Unless you have perfect water quality that is slightly acidic, I would not try them for a while.

If you would like to attempt it, however, I would get rid of the neons and get a couple of otos. (The neons are schooling fish anyway, and would be much happier with a lot of their own kind.) With the tank understocked, it will be easier to make sure that the water parameters stay constant.

This is all an IMO, because I have never attempted to keep Rams... although the thought has crossed my mind once or twice.

well im still a beginner so ill stay away from rams i guess.

Firstly, I would add 4 more neons because they like to be in schools. A good "centerpiece fish" would be a dwarf gourami: http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=35308 or a honey gourami: http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=34959

I agree.. add 4-5 more neons, a dwarf gourami is beautiful! Also, I may be mistaken, but I believe otos like to have company, so you may get 1 or 2 more of them as well.
Then you'd be completely stocked. How long has your tank been set up?

my tank has been set up for 2-3 months and all the fish are doing good.

I will add 3 more neon to make 5 if thats ok but i dont really like gourami'S, there a little too girly for me.

Im a guy.....any other fish i could have that are less....feminine?
