Hi, i currently have a 28 Litre tank which has an under gravel filter, but will be getting a 290 Litre tank with a Hood filter within a week.

Is there any way i can clone the bacteria etc. from the smaller tank to the big tank?

Should i put the new filter media from the big tank into the smaller tank so it will get the bacteria on it?

How else could i do it?

Thanks

I was able to clone my 65 gallon by using the filter from my ten. But that was a HOB filter. Not sure how you would do that with a Underground Filter. I would put the media from the new tank in the old and run it for atleast to be safe. You could also move the substrate and the decor from the old tank to help prevent a cycle.
After moving it all I would not add anymore to the bio-load for at least two weeks and then just slowly.
