Hello, I've brought a female blue crayfish for my male blue crayfish today and since she's been on the road for almost three days due to shipping, I decided to isolate her instead of putting her in the male's tank.
So I've put her in my 45 gallon tank where i already have 3 pairs of rosy barbs and 3 pairs of red eye tetra. The tetras always do fine with any fish i put there, minding their own business. But I'm worried about the barbs. They are fairly active and I'm worried that they might try to harm the cray if she molts or even if she doesn't.
They always say you must have a priority if you're mixing other fishes with crays and my cray is my priority right now since these wonderful barbs make it very hard to almost feed any other fish or keep the few hornworts i have right now in that tank because they would nip at anything.

Crayfish are nocturnal scavengers/ predators that will eat anything that catch or find. This includes fish. If you have to keep them together, make sure you feed the crayfish at light out so she is full during the night and less inclined to eating the fish while they sleep.

Thanks for replying. I moved her to a different tank so that she doesn't feel stressed. Apparently both of my crayfishes are abnormally sweet. Today, I saw a guppy pecking at my male cray's claws. He just sat there like he didn't even notice. This happened a few times until the guppy got bored. In fact the guppies are invading the inside of his cave. He doesn't do anything, minding his own business as always and walking around.
By the way my male cray doesn't have much of an interest in any spirulina tabs or veggies or shrimp pellets. Do you think it's because he nips on the hornworts all night causing a lack of appetite?
He's a little over 3 inches long and hasn't molted in 3 months. I don't see any behavioural changes and his appetite has been the same in the last 2 months.

He was probably brought up on different food and doesn't like the tablets. Just try him on different things and see what he eats.
