Can Cories Eat Turtle Food?

If they are hose powered, then they are probally pythons. A siphon is just a piece of tubing that removes the water from the tank, and say puts it in a bucket on the floor. This is the siphon that I was talking about. Even though mine is much more simplier.

yeah that looks similar
im heading out to petco today coincidentally so i'll check them out.

Turtles are very messy fish

?

anyway i aggree with bebobb with using the siphon or python insead of just moving the cories in and out, too stressful IMO

yeah i got the jist of it, just the fact i was roflmao when i saw it.

I wouldn't do it. Since there is so much left over food, there is likely to be high concentrations of ammonia in the tank. The ammonia will damage, if not kill, the corries.

just a heads up, when i was researching for RES, which i was going to get, i found out that the tank dimensions need to be

the turtles length times four=the tank length
the turtles length times two=the tank width
the turtles length times two=the tank height

so you will eventually need a 48x24x24 tank. which is big, which means big waterchanges.

wow,i guess the RES is another poorly kept creature over-all like fish keeping,i have NEVER seen any of these turtles get big other than a very high quality reptile store (which was pretty neat, they sell 2-headed snakes if they get them, monitors as well)

corys are not tank cleaners they need good fresh food like any other fish. as stated above if there is food everywhere then just feed less as the turtle obviously isnt eating it all..... regular water changes and vacuuming will get rid of old food and ammonia nothing else!

It is not a good idea to take the turtle out and put your cory's in the difference in the water parameters would most likely harm you fish or even kill your fish. Turtles produce lots of ammonia, keeping fish with turtles is extreemly hard work and a RES is NOT a turtle you can keep fish with. When I have fed my turtles I have to scoop out food with a net. RES can also live a very long time, and as you have found out grow! Here is my 11" female, she is 30 years old.
