Can Anyone Recommend A Heater

hi all im after a heater for my tank (260 l / 60 us gallons / 50 uk gallons) i want one with a thrmostat because of my halide what can people recommend? ive come up with this one can anyone do any better? ive never heared of the brand before http/www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/fish/technic...s/heating/13260 im in the uk so no american shops y'all. thanx!

dont wast your money mate buy a jager unit by Ehime one of if not the best unit out there. also the maxi rang of visatemp are ok to , but if it was me it would be the jager unit. they are cheap too http/cgi.ebay.co.uk/Eheim-Jager-200W-Hea...VQQcmdZViewItem

yes they do they also have a temp hold button that will lock the thumb screew on top so that it can't be knocked, and the temp changed.

i would suggest a visatherm stealth, you cant go wrong with them and they are like the toughest heaters you can buy. ive heard some bad stuff about the new jagers by eheim, but ive heard that the older ebo ones are superb

Had a eheim elite before and it was terrible, temp was all over the place.

I've had good experiences with visitherm and interpet delta (think thats what its called)


Thing that puts me off a jager heater is the physical size of it.

yea that is a very god poin the size of the unit is very large, but yu will heat more water with less watt because of that. i use 300 watt for my whole tank (170-180 gals)

Hi,

Just an alternative thought, I use the hydor heaters as they have an additional pump adding that extra flow without having to use another powerhead. They have a dial temperature setting and to date (over 18months in tank) I have had no problem with them. Well recommended.
