Can Anyone Please Confirm If These Are L270`s?

I`m starting to get wound up now.......still haven`t sorted out when the chocs are going to be delivered

Asked for them to be posted Monday (yesterday), seller couldn`t as he works shifts, so asked for them to be posted today....seller couldn`t do that as it`s his day off and he`s going fishing with his friend, asked him to post tomorrow....seller can`t but would ask his girlfriend to, girlfriend can`t post them as she`s too busy, he can`t post Thursday as he`s working

I`ve already explained that I don`t want them posted on a Friday in case they get stuck in the postal system over the weekend, Snail mail aren`t great at deliveries on a weekend here, So........looks like I won`t get them until sometime next week now and I`m beginning to get just a little bit peed off

Are they not being delivered by an overnight courier ?
I can understand your worries about being stuck in the post over the weekend, surely seller could set up delivery prior to fishing ?

Delivery is meant to be made by Special next day delivery

I`ve now asked him to post either Monday or Wednesday but would have hoped that any seller (especially when they class themselves as 'experienced') would make the necessary arrangements to ensure delivery is sorted sooner rather than later. Maybe it`s just me but I do feel that it`s all a bit lacking and inadequate on the sellers part

Happy enough to take someones hard earned cash but then takes forever and a day to come up with the goods

have purchased online from Wildwoods twice and cannot praise the service enough, I got my Dwarf Sumbu from a breeder in Merseyside and same set up, he couldn't have been better organised, he asked which day I wanted the fish delivered and set up the arrangments from there, he got them collected in the evening that way they wern't "stored" to long and I gat them the next morning, he even phoned to check they arrived safe and sound and offered further advice, if I wanted I could have paid a deposit and he would have kept the fish for me. How cool is that?, hope the plecs arrive safe and sound, we're looking forward to some pics when they get settled in

I`ve had a msg from him this afternoon, he`s apparently sorted Wednesday afternoon off work so will be posting then........fingers crossed I should have the chocs on Thursday, we`ll see

I'm sure it will be fine and we'll get to see some nice pics when they are settled, work has a horrible habit of interfering with us doing what we really want

You could have a look at Trimar, they are based in Cornwall and I think they get quite a good name, usually have various plecs, I have never purchased from them, I was going to buy some longfinned red jewel (?) but they wouldn't send anything because there was a real cold snap at the time, which can only be a good thing showing they actually care about the fish they are selling, wildwoods usually have some weird and wonderful plecs, your tank might be close to bursting point by now but if you catch MTS there's always room for more fish

I know tri-mar very well, I used to live about a minute away from them in Cornwall and mum and dad used to buy their fish from there. They're a good bunch of people who take fish keeping very seriously, they were always happy to go out of their way to help their customers out.

Think you're right about my tank having enough, I'm not looking at getting any more now

Not today unfortunately

I am expecting them to be sent (finally) next Wednesday. Not that I`m impatient or anything but I can`t wait to get them, it`ll be good to see them in their new home at last

Argghhh another week to wait , i think the right to be impatient is justified tbh, im just as bad whenever ive had to wait for plecs lol.

Anyways, hope all goes well and the seller actually does ship on that day and they arrive safe and well

Well I`m absolutely gutted! Got a msg off the Seller today....(the day the chocs were meant to have been despatched). Apparently he got home today and the air pump in his tank had completely packed up, he claims "he`s lost most of his stock which includes (his words) "20+ L270, 10 L144... maybe more... there is 1 l270 fry left and a couple of the bigger L144 alive'

He has offered to send me some L270 fry for free when the stock level is back up again, 8 weeks until his due fry can be safely despatched?
As gutted as I feel I can only appreciate how he must be feeling if such a catastrophe has happened.

So it looks like I`ll be getting a refund and no Chocs at all now

I'll second that , Im sorry for what happened, both for you and the seller. LOL we've both had bad luck this week

I got the payment refunded this morning and he`s quite intent that he will send me some L270`s when they`re ok to travel, so it`s not all bad. I just felt really gutted, well I still do to be honest but what`s done is done and there`s no point worrying about something you can`t change huh?

Anyway, I think I`m going to stick with the 1 Clown and 2 BN plecs I`ve got at the moment but maybe add some corys instead. Maybe IF the time comes for the seller to have L270`s ready I`ll rethink then
