Can Anyone Identify Him For Me?

great! think they will be going back then, they served their purpose of getting rid of the algae, the shimps can just keep ontop of it after they have gone!

you mentioned that golden loaches are a problem, can you expand on that.... i have four of them so you have put the fear of god in me!

A "golden loach" is a color morph of the chinese algae eater. They (chinese algae eaters) go by a bunch of different names and are mislabeled as better algae eaters often. The aren't so great at eating algae, and are territorial as hell.

On the other hand, I've had a CAE (bought it before I knew about the temperament thing!) for about 3 years now, it's never given me any problems - in fact, unless it gets up to no good while I'm not around, I'd say it's one of my more placid tankmates.
The only time I've seen agression is when my red-tailed shark decides to have a go at it - it'll defend itself vigorously until the shark slinks off, then retreats back to its little cave.
I guess I got lucky with this one, but it goes to show - fish don't always necessarily act like they're supposed to!

I added the bracket back to your images so that they show.

The CAEs present the biggest thread to slow moving, flat-bodied fish like angels and gouramis and also to corys. As mentioned, they develop a taste for the slime coat of other fish and the aforementioned fish are prime targets. They have also been know to suck the eyes out of corys.
