So, paypal have assured me thats its absolutely nothing to do with them, and they have never heard of such a pop up!

Any ideas what I can do to get rid of whatever is causing it? :(

Try deleting all cookies and temp internet files, also do you run antivirus if not there is a free one which is pretty good called Avast (just Google avast) install it and do a scan, also download Search & Destroy which will scan for adware and mailware.

Do a scan with both of these and see what it brings up.

I noitced your using Firefox, do you get the same popup using internet explorer?

last thing to check is the host file, go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc and open hosts in notepad is should only contain the following:

Code:
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost

if there is anything else in it, remove it then save and try again.

ven if it WAS from paypal.. theres no way I can fill it in anyway! I know whats its asking for by getting vague googles translations, but I cant even put my actual address in because a couple of the fields are drop down bars with a list of spanish places! Ive tried changing the language at the bottom, but it still comes up in spanish no matter what language its set to!

Also I cant get any contact details for paypal because no matter what I click on paypals website, all I get is this form pop up.. like I said.. even if I dont put any log in details in. I dont have access to my main computer at the mo to log in and get an email address or phone number!
You can chance the language on the bottom of the page, before you try to log in, then the pop-up will be in English.

Then, you should probably email Paypal about it, if you are still worried.

Thank you muchly, I'll get on to all of that! and yeah the same thing happens when using IE also.

if it happens in 2 different browsers I would say its some form of spyware, an av scan and search and destroy scan should sort it out.

Right, cleared cookies and temp files, downloaded and run both the programs you mentioned.. the search and destroy one found 41 'things' and the avast one found 1 'thing' but its not fixed my problem! I've just been and looked at the host thingy and underneath all the stuff that should be there I have one last line which says..

::1 localhost

Should I delete that?

No that is ok to leave.

Very strange I dont really know what else to suggest to be honest.

Try this link to Paypal, if not if you want to send me a remote assistance invite I will connect to your pc and take a look.
