my male and female kribs used to just egnore eachothere well the male did the female would try her hardest to shakey shakey with male but male wasnt interested then it went to the male chasing her and now they are in the cave sometimes togther and dont chase eachother away. they have became very protective over this cave and chase other fish away but i cant see any eggs as it is hard to see. also do kribs get egg tubes because i have noticed a see through tube on the female. only very tiny but still.
thanks

i would post this is the cichlid section :)

i have kribs, but cant say ive seen any mating behaviour as such, i just let them get on with it and was lucky just the once that they prduced fry, :)
with these u just have to watch that they do infact actually like eachother

When a pair of kribs take over a cave and won't let anyone else near, they are watching eggs, not breeding. The breeding is done and the fry will be along soon. If you keep an eye out for a few days, you will end up seeing the parents escorting fry around bottom parts of the tank. Depending on the parents' experience level, you might even have a few fry survive.

i know the male has had a batch before with a different female but thats about it.the male was in the cave and the female was out chaseing fish away and if they got 2 close the male would occasionally chase them away. he is fanning the top of the brick but its hard to see on the roof of the inside of his little cave. can anyone post pictures of their kribensis eggs.
thanks

Fanning is done when their are eggs already there, so just keep a lookout for the fry in the next few days.
