I have a question regarding a possible bedroom aquarium: I have a 70 x 72cm cube bedside table I had made in high school at woodwork and I was thinking of a bedroom aquarium (2 footer) to complement it. Will the bedside table be able to hold it comfortably? I will have photos of it soon.

It really depends on the construction and materials. There is no way of knowing from a photo.

Construction screws are designed for 300 pounds, although I wouldn't pass 2/3 of that and I always overconstruct. I don't know Australian woods, so I don't know about your basic materials, etc. The weak point, if the stand is sturdy, is always whether the joints move. I had a commercial tank stand made of maple that I got rid of because under pressure, it moved, and I couldn't shore it up because of how it was made.

My room's a mess, but here's the table. It's made out of jarrah wood and it's very large.

It looks good. I didn't know there was such a thing as jarrah wood, and it looks like stuff I'd love to use from reading on it. A 24 inch tank isn't that heavy, but I don't have any such tanks in a bedroom or in a place where a failure would be expensive.

Everything depends on where the legs meet the frame for the tabletop. If that moves, then no. If it doesn't, then you may be in business. No one online can say that for certain.

One of the legs are slightly shorter than the others because either I didn't measure it properly or wasn't attached correctly. It's not a large issue however. Jarrah wood is from Australia, where I live. It is a good hardwood for woodworking.

One short tableleg is an issue I would worry about. You would have to use a shim to equalize it. It should be perfectly level.

Yeah. Other than that, I think it is mostly okay to go.

*edit* I just checked if the legs move, and they didn't wobble. Apologies for my oversight, I thought one of the table legs were shorter. It's good to go. :)
