Came Home This Morning And My Tank Water Is Very Cloudy Please Help &#

happy new yaer all.
this is my first post im very new at keeping tropical fish.
this is my problem i came home just now and my water colour has changed from clear to a white merky colour.
please help.
the fillter is running and has been all night the fish are now swiming at the top of the tank i dont know what to do

Water change is the first thing to do! Probably about 30%?

Do you have a water testing kit? What are your water params?

It's could be a bacterial bloom, that can make the water look cloudy, how long has it been set up for?

Oh and how big is your tank and what do you have in it?
