i got no9 aswell.. shall i start with it?

ps..

first wormer plus dose on wednesday.. second on saterday after 30% water change.. third on next saterday after 30% water change. waterlife parazin p is today.. after 9 days from last wormer plus treatment..

thanks.

started to worry that if im making chemical soup...

if dont work.. i am going to try sera nematol,, which i should have used in first place..

Wormer plus dosn't always work on camallanous worms. I prefer the sera med myself. I very rarely say use wormer plus for camallanous worms.

Here a link to the med.

The fish with the hole and the worms sticking out. I would end is misery. Poor thing.

I wouldn't of added the waterlife med it for external worms. It might kill the worms that are in the tank water but not internally.

So the meds out of date. it might still work as it not that much out of date.

Are the worms still alive today.

Did you overdose the med?

24 hours after...

yes id did over dose....15ml for 450l.. but all fish looks fine..so far..

i dont see any worms in fishes bottams anymore.. seen some red worms in the sand.. seems the med is working..

but the angel with hole in the belly is still has the worm but it dont move as it was befor..

still he is not eating but looks normal.. my woman dont let me let him go..

thanks..

Hoover the gravel to remove the worms.

You will have to remove the worm from the fish if it's dead.
Wrap the fish in a clean cloth soaked in tap water.
Ask someone to gently hold the fish down for you.
With some sterilised tweezers remove the worm.
Don't keep the fish out of the water long.

Can you load a pic onto the site of the fish with the hole on it's side.

You will also need to back up with a bacterial med.
Internal parasites cause bacterial infections.

Once you finished the course of the bacterial med. Check when you have to redose the sera med.
As I would do another round to make sure they are completely gone.

hi, sorry for bit late..

sera med seems to be worked.. i dont see any worms anymore.. i do 40% water change in 2nd day to instent of 80%.. will do another one in 8th day.. also planing to another dose in 3 weeks time..

the anjel with hole in belly is getting better. after i pulled the dead worm out of it.. its started eating very well and and the hole is looks better.. but still poo coming out of it..
very hard to take pic.. pic i took not clear.. so i didnt post..

thanks for ur help wilder.. we need ppl like you

one more thing i need to know.. when can i on the uv lights? its off from 5th..

thanks..

Thanks for the update.

Is the hole healing up. Keep an eye out for infection and fungus.

Leave the uv light for now as you need to use a bacterial med now.

i am not planing to go for bac med.. as already think its to0much meds in the tank.. ( advice needed.. )

i just want the uv to b on.. y they ask u to switch of the uv?

If it was me I would definately go in with a bacterial med. It's your choice at the end of the day.

Here some info why you have too add the bacterial med.

Camallanus

Symptoms:

When the fish is stationary, deep red worms can be seen protruding from the anal pore. They are only visible when the fish is still because the worms retreat into the intestine at the fishs slightest movement. Other signs may include an inflamed and enlarged anus. In severe infestations, the fish may become emaciated and spinal curvature may also occur.

Cause:

The parasitic worms Camallanus Cotti and Camallanus lacustris. These small, livebearing parasitic worms attach to the intestinal walls and rectum with pinchers. The worms grip is so tight that any attempts to remove it forcibly will rip away tissue from the intestinal wall. The worms pinching causes ischemia (reduced blood flow) to that part of the intestine. In time, the tissue to that part of the intestine will die, at which time the worm will migrate to another part of the intestine. This causes perforations throughout the intestine, which allows other pathogens to gain entry. If the fish is not treated, either the parasite or bacterial will kill the fish. Camallanus infestations occur most often in livebearing fish such as Guppies and Mollies, though infection is possible in all fish. Camallanus infestations are contagious. All fish, including those not yet showing visible symptoms, as well as the aquarium, should be treated.

Treatment:

Treat with Internal Parasite Guard, Pipzine, Disco-Worm, Trichlorfon or Fluke-Tabs as well as a medicated food to prevent a bacterial infection.

i understand that feeding medicated food is best option for clearing out internal parasites, however how do you go about medicating the food before feeding it to your fish?
