Maybe the competition needs to be for "Suckers", that will stop any confusion

What about the sucker fish which are classified as loaches, eg Gyrinocheilus aymonieri? And stiphodons? They are "suckers" but not Loricariids.

Maybe the contest should be for suckermouth catfish?

What area would twigs (Farlowella sp) and whiptail catfish (Loricaria sp) fall into if not suckermouth catfish?

For mid October, we will be doing a FOTM for all other types of catfish/suckermouth fish besides Plecos.

In mid September, we will be accepting entries for our Pet of the Month contest for all pets except fish. Get those pet pics ready.
