Im just looking at getting some chaeto but im wanting to put it in the back compartment is this possible as there is light that gets to it but im not sure wether there is enough.

Trod my sister did the same thing - you will need to buy one of those cheap stick on lights to put in the back

Ok ill have a look when im next down town for some waterproof ones if I have cheato does it get rid of the need for ROWAPHOS.

IM going to the LFS in a min for some test kits so ill pop in to hurst.

While getting the test kits I had a look at lights around town but there were no water proof ones I might have a look at buying a kit and making them myself.

Some people run cheato and rowaphos but I don't see the point in both.

If you put some in the wier then you can buy a cheap submersible led to go in there with it. Or buy a led strip an silicone it to the underside the hood above the weir.

I myself plan to run cheato but I'm going to contain it in a media bag in the display side of the tank.

I like the thought of green wire wool in my tank! Lol

I saw some on eBay going for a fiver + pp.

I would run it the tank but its small enough as it is so I don't want to loose precious space.

Can do but I'm using 3G on my phone so will be awkward. Will do it later on when I'm back home. Or just type in submersible led on bay's search bar. It should bring up loads.

I have done but it brings up loads of cheap crappy ones that id rather not buy but I might just bus some and hang it in a bag untill i find some lights.

i can't promise anything but i may be able to get hold of submersible led's for you, i work in a garden centre and the water features is one of my jobs now some of these have submersible leds and of course we always have the odd spare lying around "wink wink", but they would need a transformer to run
