Calling All Electricians

Hi,
Is there a Fully Qualified Electrician in the house that could help with a little problem I wish to solve.
Please Help....
I recently purchased a second hand MH pendant. Upon giving it a good clean and wanting to refurb it somewhat I noticed that the small ceramic terminal blocks which are used to connect the wires had completely disintergrated, leaving the exposed brass blocks. Needless to say in the interests of safety I need to replace these little blocks and rewire.
Would one of the Electricians (must be one on here) give me some advice and leads on what I require (techie names and specs) and will they be good enough to cope with the extreme heat from a 150 w halide unit.

5 amp or 15 amp , please forgive me I dont have a bawldy when it comes to intricate electrical terminology.

Hi Big C

the 5 Amp will be fine, to work it out you divide the wattage, in your case 150w by 230, this being the nominal voltage these days.

Dont worry too much about "specs" get one that fits and alls good.... as long as they are "ceramic" you are good to go.

Went into the local electrical wholesale/retailers and got some 5 amp porcelain terminal blocks, singles (I needed three). The guy over the counter used to work at our place and knew me. I asked the price and he said just take them and go. Cheers. I call that a good result.
