Calling All Bangii Keepers!

i need to know if this is normal.
so i added him to my tank, and he rushed behind the tank, and i couldnt see him so i removed the rocks and found him.
put the rocks back together (yes new scape) and now he is in there still.
i havent turned the lights on. i did put a bit of food to see if he would come out.
but he hasnt come out, is this normal as i havent read they hide. how long before he is out swimming in the open?

Bangaii cardinals are most active in subdued lighting conditions, he'll be out and more active when the lights are off, you could try moon lights.

the lights are off, i havent turned them on since acclimitizng him.
i dont have moon lights

Give him time... If someone dropped you in the middle of nowhere, you'd be upset too

yep and yep Trods used to hide in the rocks all the time until he got used to you

Its just basically a strip of blue leds that mimic the moon.
