Calling all AUSSIES!

wow, i didnt realise there were so many from WA.
victoria here, anyone else???

Aquaria Australia a bit expensive but has a good range of lights. Shipping is quick and staff are friendly

Aquatic Life very good online site with good products at good prices. If you live near the store you can order online then pick up yur order within 3 hours or ordering. Note....if you go in the store and buy you will pay more than if you order online. They ship promptly and goods arrive in excellent condition.

Aquarium Products another good online site with a good ordering system with good prices. They tend to be a bit slow shipping products though. If there is something there cheaper than anywhere else it is worth the wait.

Fish 4 U Has very good prices but because of this a lot of products are out-of-stock a lot. I have always had trouble with their online ordering system in that they only bill me for shipping and not for what I have ordered. This has always been easily fixed with a quick call to their store.

Equarium Have always seemed WAYYY over priced. I have never ordered from them becasue of this.

HTH!!!

a serious question, how many chemicals do people in adelaide put into their fishtank water?

Im from SA.

SeaView is AWSOME!!!!! But its too far for me, im up in the hills. Charleston to be exact. A1 Tropicals is good. And once you know the people there like i do they are great ppl and will order fish in for u.

The lfs i use now is down the road, a 2 minute walk, but i was in seaview the other week, and its still as good as always!

What about you? What are your fav stores in adel?

Hi, I'm another Aussie, from Brisbane.

As for Adelaide tap water, does that mean they've cleaned up thier collective government butts?

However, at least you guys have flouride in your tap water, up here it's atrocious. Its a bit off topic ie not fishie related but people's teeth related but it does make a difference believe me! Another case of cheap government...

sigh :grr:

cheers, xanthia

RE: chlorines and chloramines

Anyone from surburban Perth know the answer to this one? Does the Water Corp put chloramines in our water? Coz I've been trying to call them for the answer but no cigar.... boy they sure love to transfer people to "another department"!!!

Coz I read somewhere that de-chloraminators BREAK UP the chloramine bond into chlorine and ammonia, which then means you have to use another product like Ammo-Lock..... truth or fiction?

Hi there!

I dont really know the specifics, but id say no, u wouldnt have too add ammo lock. Simply because if you add a chlorin and chloramine remover, it would remove both, not just break down one. But someone might care to answer this more scientificaly if u post it as a seperate question.

I was just bumbing this. Any more aussies??? :p

yep i'm from brisbane.

I've had no troubles with the water up here justa good conditioner.
