I've had mine for about 6 months and he or she is in a 165litre or 35 gallon tank and has only grow about 2inch's and is at 3ins now so i say slowly about growing but he or she is very aggressive to all my bottom dwelling fish and often trys to clean my gourami!!!

ok, thanks. A pitbull or bull dog pleco won't be too big for a ten gallon? If not, I'll look into it Its too bad, because the CAE is cute and its very active..too bad its going to grow into a monster..

Yeah they are tiny lill suckers, i like bulldogs, but they are rather shy, pitbulls like to be kept in small groups but are longer yet less stocky than the bulldog plec

I assume for a ten gallon I could only get one of either? I have a male betta and two cories in that tank. How easy are these plecos to find?

edit: if in groups are they still shy?

Even if you liked the CAE, don't get a Siamese Algae Eater. They grow (fairly quickly) and get to be 6" long -- way too big for your 10 gallon tank. Although other than that they are great fish.
