Is it possible to diffuse co2 through a normal airstone it would be a home setup one like nutrafin sorta ?

You could be you would be wasting alot of co2. airstone bubbles are too big, and will jus pop when it reaches the surface

was just thinking because their not under the pressure a pump would make that the bubbles would not be as big

They would be more lilkley to be bigger with out a pump beasue the pressure of the pumps would force them out of more the holes. Lower pressure would only allow the C02 to gather and escape as larger bubbles through one or more holes.

Just my take on it mind.

Guy at LFS told me yesterday that you have to use an airstone with DIY CO2 as the pressure is not enough to push the bubbles through a glass diffuser. I think some members of this forum might disagree.

on ebay ive seen nano defusers, there like 99 cents, but with 6 dollar shipping! well i guess thats still preety cheap
is that the type of thing i should use?

I just bought one yesterday! :hyper: It seemed like a good deal but have to wait till it arrives to test it. Its locate in thailand so its going to take forever to come. On another note I have heard of people using lime airstones with good results. :good:

I'm running a ceramic glass diffuser from my yeast mix CO2 ;)

2 of them cost be £8 inc insured P&P form china - I went halfs with a friend and we're both using them now - on DIY mixs)

That's good to hear. I've got a nano glass diffuser on the way and DIY set up under construction.

Always take the advice of the forum over the LFS! :good:
