C. Trilineatus

Hi there,

I just picked up 5 C. triliniatus from my local garden center (first corydoras I've seen for a LONG time round here!)

They only had 5, I know 6 is the ideal minimum number, but 1ill 5 get on OK?

Theya re really active so far!

Starting to wonder if perhaps the flow in the tank 'may' be a bit strong for them...

They are at mor elevels than my whiteclouds! ;p

They should be fine super little corys

I started off with 3 and they've multiplied to 15 from offspring,plus i've sold some

do you think they might be likely to breed on their own in my aquarium?

It has a big patch of java moss, is at 22-23'C, and has other small catfish, white clouds and snails...

Will these be pretty much guaranteed to munch any eggs?

probably,mine did

They do hide their eggs really well though,so you might need to go hunting if you catch they active

The eggs may end up getting munched,so best save them into a tub floating on the tank with an airstone in or set up a separate fry tank when you see them.

I have 4 albinos and they are bonkers! i am trying to get more, but everytime I go to the LFS they are sold out or the other fish in the tank look ill I guessmy shoal will get bigger when the time is right

Ah well that was fun while it lasted they've calmed right down now, no longer zooming about, in fact I'm starting to get a little worried abot them...

My pitbull plec has become rather boistrous since the tank upgrade/rearranging and they seem a bit afraid of him... hmmm he may have to go (if I can catch the lad)... shame though as he's such a character (I may setup an aquarium just for him ) - I haven't been able to track down any more of them anyway (local p@H killed theirs off).

Hmmm I'll try giving them a little bloodworm tomorrow, see if that perks them up a little..
