Hi i got a 30 Gal tank and i got 2 bristlenose and 16 C.Panda inside, I have many caves and feed them frozen food regularly, how many C. trilineatus can i put inside the tank? Im wondering around 14?

that seems WAY over stocked to me, FAR TOO many bottom feeders...

what are the dimensions of the tank?

I just realised, its a 35 gal tank.How abt adding 10 instead of 14?

BTW: the bristle nose is onli an inch, soon they will be transfered

still seems over stocked, Panda's grow to what 2" each? thats 32"

you have 2 BN, thats 10"

So you currently have 42" inches of fish, in a 35gallon tank?

This is WELL over the reccomened. PLUS BNs are very messy, little poop machines.

thats unless the tank is shallow, long and width, we need dimensions

I told u the BN are going to be transfered soon and arent BN max length 5"? The tank is also long but not tall...How about 10 instead of 14 C. trilineatus ???

BN have a max length of 5", most of their family grow to that size, some bigger.
But ok your moving them so that 32" of fish.

Trilineatus grow to between 2.2" and 2.5" so thats a minimum of 22"

thats 4.5' of fish in, what I can tell form your sig a 3' tank, that TOO many, IMO.

saying that I have 160+ C.trilinestus in a 3 gallon tank, ok so they are fry but meh :fun:

Hmm then ill try to get pygmies than..I want some other species in my tank...Its bored to see the same kind....Hmm how about 6 of C. trilineatus? If not, ill get pygmies

TBH, your at your limit at your current stocking of cories, you may get away with some upper level fish like small tetra, and thats at a push and you would be to have maybe 2-3 times the reccomended filtration.

Hi raeburter :)

Why not wait until you get your panda colony established and the BNs moved and then see what you think. If your nitrates stay low, then go ahead and add a few at a time.

Pandas are a bit more sensitive to water conditions and in this case it would really pay to be on the safe side. If you want to add more corys, do consider some of the dwarf species. C. pygmaeus, C. hastatus or C. habrosus are all excellent choices to accompany pandas and their small size makes then an interesting and unusual addition to most people's tanks. :D

Gotta say i'm very jealous that you got a nice shoal of 16 pandas together pretty much dominating a whole tank! :)

I reallly miss my cories and pandas were one i always wanted to own, have to agree though that i think 16 pandas have pretty much stocked that tank up :(
