hi all, im sorry to carpet bomb you guys with questions but im the type of person who likes to do research and get it right from the start.

i have a 120L bare bottomed tank, now will corries be ok in this? or should i get some scoops of sand and add a small sprinkling along the bottom (only if its a must) but i fear it will cloud my water and make water changes longer...!

Sand does not make water changes longer or your water cloudy as long as you clean it well first. I have sand in mine. You would need more than a sprinkling though. I would recommend at least half an inch.

The cory's love it and it's the ideal substrate for them. Having nothing would be dull and not natural as they are foragers.

ahh that would mean stripping the tank down. cheers, looks like they will go in my 240L hi tech planted.
