My neons are slowly disappearing and the only possible culprit will be my 1 yr old angel. I really want neons in the tank, or cardinals......do you think he will go for larger ones if i can find them?

He wont touch the blue tetras (at 1")

I would stick to larger Tetras than Neons & Cardinals if you want to keep the Angel.

Basically, aslong as the fish carn't fit in the angelfishes mouth, your safe to buy !

Angels grow fairly fast so that probably wouldnt work for long. I would stick with larger types of tetras
