I get my ODSP at the end of the month (Ontario Disability Income) so I will have some money to help me with my fish tank (plus my paychecks) but anyways, I have about 8-9 fish in a 20 gallon tank, I was wondering what fish would go nicely in the tank? Preferably Livebearers, but any fish really, the thing is, my fish kept on breeding, but then the female died so I haven't had any new fish in about 3-4 months, anyhoozle, I want some fish that are easy to take care of, but don't breed to often, any suggestions? (I like fish with pretty colors too!)

What species is in the tank currently? If you want don't want them breeding all the time, then livebearers would not be a good choice... they will breed in almost any kind of tank condition.

Right now, 4 mollies, 2 swordtails, 1 algae eater, 1 tetra (that's 9 years old!) 1 molly, those are the only fish in my tank right now

do you ahve 4 mollies or one molly?
what kind of tetra do you have?

i would say 4 mollies is enough stocking as it is, maybe add 4 or 5 cories?

how big/old is the algae eater? they can get viscious with age and cramped living conditions.

I have four mollies, the algae eater is pretty old, (6-8 years old) the tetra is a blackskirt tetra, it's 9 years old, and my algae eater is about 4-6 inches roughly,

I got some white clouds, I think that's what they were called, they were 5 for $5, but the guy gave me 8 for $5, heh! :good:
