I got permission to set up a tank at work, and now have a barren 29 gallon tank sitting at the end of my desk. I've got some fun ideas on decorating the tank, but have not yet started planning its inhabitants. I'm thinking I'll be better off ordering fish online and having them delivered here, rather than buying them locally and carrying them in, since I can't really buy them on my way to work or leave during the day to go buy fish. Where have you bought fish online and would you recommend them? I want to make sure I use a reputable site.

I have never bought fish online. I buy plenty of plants online, just not fish.

If your in the us drsfoster and smith is good otherwise known as liveaquaria.com and aquabid and I'm sure there's more those are just a few.

Problem solved! I'm going by one of my LFS tomorrow to pick out fish, which will then be moved to a separate tank. Then the owner is going to meet me up there at 7am Monday to pick them up. They don't open till 10. How cool is that?

While I'm at it :p if anyone is nearby, the best place for sand substrate is

Williams Equipment
3655 American Way

They have silica and black beauty for AMAZING prices compared to the LFS (100# is less than $15 on either). They also have locations in Jackson, TN, Tupelo, Richland, Oxford and Cleveland, MS, Shreveport and Monroe, LA, and Jonesboro, AR, and another in downtown Memphis.

BTW... picked out 8 neon tetras, 6 harlequin rasboras and a pair of golden rams that are believed to be a breeding pair.
