Based on different people's opinions, Dr. Foster is largely seen as the best place to order new aquarium supplies online, for their price and reliability. (Big Al's and ThatPetPlace also, but not as much as fosters)

My question is what about plants and fish? I've seen liveaquaria and aquabid, and compared to local pet stores and chain stores like walmart/petsmart, aquabid's bettas are completely amazing.

So is aquabid the best place to order fish/plants online? Or Liveaquaria? Or is there other sites I don't know of?

Any and all list them, I'd like a lot of opinions.

Ive never bought fish online but I have bought plants so I can say, there completly safe to get :) Provided its a good supplier (not sure about US plant suppliers sorry).

I've never bought fish online, and I don't want to if I can help it. Descriptions and pictures just don't cut it for me. I want to see it swimming with my own eyes. To be fair I don't keep anything particularly unusual that you wouldn't find in most shops so I have no need to shop online, but I'd personally ask a shop if they could order a fish in for me , that I could actually see before I bought online.

Majority of my fish come from online sellers. Just do your research and see which sellers are good and which are not. Check aquabids rating system and if you are looking for specific fish, try finding a specific vendor (can usually be found on other forum sites) that specialize in certain areas in the world.
