Warning: This is going to sound cruel, but is only made possible in extreme situations.

Up until recently, I did have a spare hospital tank but wanted to turn it into a snailarium/Danio breeding tank. So did.

Last night, I had noticed on one of my three new Tiger Barbs having what looked like an anchorworm attached to its side. I couldn't risk it being in the main tank, but couldn't figure out where to put the fish. This was until I'd cast my eye over to my Buxtons mineral water bottle. Bling!

Catching the fish and installing it into the plastic bottle, then turning the bottle onto its square side, it looked like an excellent makeshift hospital tank. Cutting a hole on the 'top', injecting some stress coating, and adding some food, I then left the fish alone for the night.

This morning the fish is still is still fine. Priority now is looking for a new hospital tank. While considering what to do with my affected individual.

I wonder who else had any crazy ideas that have worked?

PS I'm gonna try a creating a portable snailarium with this idea. :)

Warning: I do not condone this action unless it's absolutely necessary.

I live about 20-30 mins away from buxton!!

It makes me laf cos there is a spring right in town. You go there with a bottle and fill it right up! Voila! Free Buxton spring water.

The cheeky thing is that they sell it in the shops near where I live for 60p a bottle!!! I can drive there and back for about £2 and fill up as much as I can carry!
(not allot cos I'm pathetic and weak)

I do hope that you cure the fish of anchor worm
good thinking batman (3 or 5 ltr bottle?)
