my lfs has about 15 of these cute little fish,,,they told me there fine in fresh water with angel fish<is this true?am i ok to go ahead with getting a couple?
i know they get to about 4inches and could produce a sting similar to a loin fish....but apparently there ok to keep with similar sized fish

They're brackish fish, check the brackish forum for more details.

As mentioned, they are true Brackish fish and are rather lovely. There is someoen who has these with their Fig8 Puffers

They are definitely a brakish water fish and also they are quite hard to keep initially they dont like change at all, if less than 1" there is a very high possibility of losing some due to stress when changing water conditions when you buy them.
They are however a fantastic fish with lots of character and a quite beautiful to watch :)

Wasp fish is a high end brackish fish. 2-3 years ago I used to keep them and did not realize this, I tried a few but they all ended up dying. Not the type to give up I tried again but got the same result. Then I read more, found them again and now keep them with a good salt mix in the water!

I have a 3 inch waspfish now, at 1.010 sal. This fish can go full salt when mature. Tell your LFS to but them in brackish water!
