Butterfly Fish

butterfly fish? how can u sex them coz i have 2 but i dont no if they are males or females how can i tell?
and are they live bearers or do the lay eggs?

You mean the African Butterfly fish, right? not the marine one...


Males are generally larger with a larger nuchal hump on their head. Also might have longer fins than the female. Sometimes the female will grow a nuchal hump but it's not as large.
