 Took my newly adopted kitty, Charlotte to the vet to get spayed today. She has had two litters of kittens since June, and I adopted her the day before Halloween. Well, she didn't get spayed today, turns out she's pregnant

The vet said she thinks she's about a month along, so another month to go. I talked to the animal shelter and they said I could have her spayed anyway (abort the kittens) or let her have them at my house and they will be adopted out when the time comes. Well, I am 100% against abortion in anyway shape or form so this wasn't a difficult decision for me  Also, our shelter has a 100% adoption rate on kittens, so that is definately a plus ;)

I do feel bad because I know how many cats there are without homes, but I just can't do it

I did a fertility dance for my bettas the other day (imagine hokey pokey meets a sorta grinding line dance  ) and I told my husband it must have crossed over to the cat as well. He says it best not cross over to me for a while

Kitties...... They are some of the bestest babies to have around the house....except for the poop they like to paint with on the walls.

Congratulate the new mom for me, and tell her to not do it again.

I know! I can't get pregnant for a few months at least. I have betta shows in April and June that I'm going to and I need to be able to fly!

I'll keep you guys updated on the little woman, although it probably won't get too exciting for a month or so :)

I took Miss Charlotte to the vet today for an ultrasound :) They said she's carrying really deep so we couldn't count the kittens, but I got to see two heartbeats

This is a little screwed up though  Our animal shelter has foster homes for pregnant and nursing animals so the babies aren't at risk for disease. Charlotte was in a foster home with her last litter before they were ready for adoption. From the ultrasound they said she's only 30 days, which means she got pregnant at the foster home. :X That's very interesting to me...either the foster home has a tom or she was let outside -_- Either way, not very responsible :sly:

I'm excited though anyway
