Bulb Choice

Nitrites and Ammonia dropping to less than 0.1 in 12 hours so fishless cycle almost done.

Have started looking at the bulbs that came with my tank and wondered what other people were using for theirs.

The tank is a Rena 450 and has 2 x twin bulb 4 foot T8 light bars. At present there are 3 x Powerglo and 1 x Lifeglo.

I have no plants in he tank at the moment although I may experiment with some, (although I know it is fraught with problems)

Just wondering what bulbs others are using and what level of light you would recommend, I was planning on just using one of the two bars, and maybe using one powerglo and one marine blue bulb in it?

I'm cheap so once the bulbs that come with the tank burn out I buy the bulbs at my local Wal Mart that are for kitchens.

I have combo lights that are both marine and dayglow. The blue adds a nice color.
