Built My First Stand!

Just thought i would post a few pics of my first built from scratch stand. It's for my 30 gallon tank.

From start to finish it took me about 8 hours to build but it was the weekend so i was in no hurry.

It's framed up with 2x4s and covered with tongue and groove pine. I used 1x3 pine for the trim, and the corners have some 1/4x2 inch, fancy, double beveled, trim...i forget what they are called.

I ended up painting it black to match the tank and light i was planning to use, that and i just like black stands.

My total cost for the build was about $50. Pretty cheap and i could now make another much faster with what i learned.

4th and 5th pics, nice poster lol.

looks nice, but it looks like it might be a little tall for my taste.
 
From floor to the top of the tank is only about four feet. It was on a much lower stand but it's a grow out for my pretty small Ray and i was sick of looking down from the top instead in at her.
 
Very nicely done! A fine quality indeed. Maybe you should make more, and sell them. You never know...
