Building A Tank (Advice)

Hi everyone some of you i have already spoken to and giving to me some and all great advice on fish and equipment.

i have decided to go ahead and build my fish tank please bare inmind i am totally a noob so all advice about this would be benefit to me from you all.

i plan on building a tank the size as shown : Length 6foot, Width 2foot, Height 2foot. With these size in mind i plan on using clear see though plastic and not glass to save money cost and hopefully post an update about it with pictures soon for all to see.

ITS GOING TO BE BIG !!!

I donno if plastic is such a good idea with a tank that size....

Mine is 10mm glass all round inc base. Its in my front room as a centrepiece. Wanted it as kid/ accident resistant as possible. Made it very heavy though.
 
Mine is slightly smaller than your plan at 350L, (5'x 18"X18") yours will prob be 400+.

i have not got the faintest idea yet i really want tropical fish but.currently i only have 2 orandas and 2 comets i think, i plan building it for them only with nice plants etc i hope once i get hang of the basics of fresh water fish i move on and maybe build another tank in exact same size and move onto more challenging fish to look after i want all my fish grow extremely massive and live a nice life.

I'm confused, you're building it for your goldfish but you want tropical fish? You do realize these shouldn't be mixed, right?
 
And by plastic do you mean acrylic?

Lol no the tank i build will be for the goldfish only ATM but i hope to move onto tropical in future down the line so i will build another tank for the tropical fish , i will not mix in same tank lol acrylic yeah i be using.
