Building A Refugium

Hey,
I have a two tank stand and for some reason, i put two and two together today, and have decided to make the 10 gallon on the bottom into a refugium. I figure my 20 gallon tank is about 28 inches from the the 10 gallon.

Couple questions:
1. How many gph should the power head be bringing the water into the 20 gallon? (planning on using PVC piping son what diameter PVC should i use?)
2. What are some good algeas ect. to put in the refugium?
3. How much live rock and sand?
4. Anything else?

no, wasnt planning on it. i was figuring on something quick and easy.

Well there are only 2 options, drill or use an overflow box so I guess that means you're gonna use the OF box?
