Building A home made Acrylic Fish tank

Hey all,
I was thinkin about building my own acrylic fish tank from scratch.
My friend works at a plastic CO. and can get the acrylic i need.
Does anyone have any past experience with building one an or should i waste my time and money building one

Cut them all perfectly square and dry fit them then weld them together with some sort of solvent. You will need to brce them while it dries but its easyer then buildig anything out of glass.

Just insert the dimensions and it will do the rest!! Sadly I was all ready and found out there isn't a glass company/plastic company anywhere near me to sell me the sheets I wanted cheap.. they were asking like $140 (US) for a 30"x18" sheet of acryllic.. crazy...

If anyone knows an online site where its cheaper please let me know!!!
