my 10 yr old Buenos aires tetra was laying on the bottom and I assumed dead.Went to scoop him up and low and behold....not dead.He struggled to swim but he managed to swim but sank almost immediately.after a few days my wife and I discussed putting him out of his misery. He was clearly trying, trying to keep going so a google search mentioned something about constipation and feeding the fish mushy peas to clear their system. We got some frozen peas as suggested instead of canned ,nuked some and took one at a time and squeezed the pea out of the skin and mushed it up between your fingers and broke it up as much as we could and introduced it into the water. All of the fish went nuts over it.the struggling tetra went for it aggressively. We did this feed favoring him for a few days and to our surprise he was back to swimming much more normal.Still sinking a little but acting much much better. After a month of this he is the most aggressive eater and so much better.Still feeding some peas and happy with his come back but all of the fish are loving the peas including the catfish. But you will need to vacuum bottom more often however worth the tradeoff.hope this helps someone.Charlie
