I'm going to be putting a pair of ADF's in a 2 gallon and I was wondering what buddies I can put in there with them.

I know that bettas are a popular answer but what else could I put in a 2.5 with 2 ADFs?

(*note: I have a whole other organization system for my bettas so that's why I don't want to mix my bettas with the ADFs)

A two gallon tank is really too small for anything else, and probably only one adf should be in there. Sorry. :/

No. They hop out if the top isn't covered. Then they jump around for a while and dry up. I don't think that's something you want the little guy to experience. ;)

yeah or you could put in a goldfish.
i used to have 2adf in with my coldwater fishes.
they go pale for a while as it is cold but they clear up after they have figured out they are not going to die.

2 gal is too small for goldfish. really, a betta is about it. if the tank were filtered, you might get away with say a single molly or platy or the like..... youre pretty limited otherwise 2 gal tanks..

I actually think the 2 ACFs could live in there on their own, just no other buddies.
2 aCfs can certainly NOT live in there.
but he was asking about aDfs which i think 2 would be ok. you could possibly squeeze a betta in there, certainly not a goldfish.

They're social animals so at least two would be good. I have two in a bowl during quarantine and will be putting them in a 1 gallon tank until I have a 10 gallon divided and set up for them (will be roughly 2.5 gallons of space for them in their section).

you can buy a small goldfish and sell it on when it is too big.
I was not refering to get a giant goldfish that is the size of a beach-whale.
and adf to live happyly in cold water enviroments.

ADF are tropical frogs, they can't tolerate coldwater and will eventually die from it.

again people pulling me down from what of have tested myself. :(
They do live in coldwater conditions.
They just seem to live among bushed plants or under filter/gravel.
Please do not pull me down. :-(
I have had adf in my old goldfish tank.
