Could you help this member out? His neons have neon tetras disease.

Also, seeing as how the diseases pinned thread is closed, can a mod add info on Neon tetra disease.

Thanks temp'fury for your help. I do appreciate it. ( By the way I'm female)

I wasn't sure so didn't use a pronoun in place of your name. unfortunately there isn't anything that can be done, I guess. :/

Hi bubbs :)

Are you sure it's Neon Tetra Disease that is the problem? Could it be something else? Unfortunately, if it is that disease, it's usually fatal and nothing can really be done for it.

Here's a link about neon tetras. If you scroll down toward the bottom, there is information about the disease:

I believe i responded to this in another forum but just to be sure neon disease is fatal 99% of the time and can be spread to other fish. However in neons the disease affects the RED stripe not the blue stripe. So be careful and isolate the fish, but dont jump the gun, Before anything else try to see what you can do to save it. This loss of color could be bacterial in nature so perhaps try to treat that in the isolation tank. good luck :)
